Cosmos Graveyard

In my submission to the Jan 2020 CG Boost challenge, failed experiments of the Russian space race rust away in what is now little more than a graveyard.

Lately I've taken an interest in the Russian space programme, which, although not short on success, also suffered horribly from the politics surrounding it. Shown here are the cancelled N1 moon rocket and Buran space shuttle, with its hangar. Both of these are long gone now, but I imagined them in a sort of vehicle graveyard, slowly wasting away on the Russian steppe; weathered monuments to the decades of work performed by thousands of people, now gone and forgotten.
